Rome, Italy - NATO ally countries, military, industry, and academics from across the globe came together in Rome, Italy, from September 24th through 26th to present and discuss how to advance multi-domain operations through modeling and simulation and Valkyrie’s Joint Theatre Level Simulation – Global Operations (JTLS-GO) team met with several countries and potential partners to discuss JTLS-GO’s role as a critical tool for NATO and NATO nations to conduct operational computer-aided exercises (CAX) and wargaming initiatives.
The team of Ty Cook and John Hertz demonstrated the capabilities to critical NATO allies and decision-makers. During the 19th NATO CA2X2 Forum, they also gained further insight into the Supreme Allied Command Transformation (ACT), NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), and NATO Joint Warfare Center (JWC) priorities.
Cook noted how NATO and allied nations are committed to developing new simulation technologies supporting multi-domain operations. NATO countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, and NATO ACT and NATO SHAPE expressed an eagerness for JTLS-GO to expand its simulation capacity and maintain its flexibility to work in other modeling & simulation ecosystems that can meet all NATO Modeling & Simulation Next Generation requirements.
Valkyrie continues to invest in JTLS-GO to advance the program’s abilities to support computer-aided exercises and analysis based on customer inputs and analysis. A major focus for JTLS-GO is to imbed Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to speed up orders to digital forces and process key output data sets. The data outputs are applied to various levels in the decision-making process and assist the analyst or training audience.
The Forum is ahead of the NATO Modeling and Simulation Center of Excellence 2nd edition of the JTLS-GO Practitioner Course from October 7th – 11th.
